  2. Girl, you are speaking my language. This sounds exactly like my journey now. This time around for me I am eating veggies, meats, fats. I even eat fried squash and okra (i'm from the south) with a bit of cornmeal. I am eating more salads than I have in my whole life. I am older, 69, so it's slower but I have lost 20 pounds since Jan 2, 2023. I feel fabulous. I look better. I am not tired of it cause I don't stress out. Easter I ate a piece of carrot cake. I stopped there. I won't go through my whole life not eating something like that but it is rare. I do have a very supportive husband. I have tried so many "breads". They are ok. I will try this bread cause that is one issue I have. I want tomato sandwiches but I will not eat regular bread. I don't want to be a sick old woman. Nobody force feeds me. It is my decision what goes in my mouth. I am making better decisions.

  3. I lost 135lbs on Keto, and listened to someone who said too much protein was bad. I lost A LOT of muscle 😢. I have since gained about 25lbs because I was just being way too strict. I’m SO glad I found you on here!! I definitely want to do high protein, low carb!
    Side Note: not only did I lose muscle, but my hair got thin and brittle too, from so little protein.

  4. Sadly, this video is just an excuse for why you still use food to suppress your emotions.

    If you dont learn to sit in discomfort, you will always put the weight back on. It has absolutely nothing to do with the foods themselves. I wish you well.

  5. Bouncing back to a substantial weight gain is 'sometimes" a testament to implementing a regimen that cannot be maintained. Too much complexity clouds the objective. Keep it simple and adapt to lifestyle change.

  6. You have done many “diets”. I have too. I hired a health coach and did the reverse diet. You then go On to a true Maintenance and THEN start a gradual fat loss phase. It takes time. Which is needed ! Your metabolism Will thank you.

  7. Great video! I do something similar. A couple years ago, I heard Dr Berg say to eat lots of low glycemic veggies, and thought that was a good idea. I couldn't do without onions and bell peppers, so I eat those often, but learned what portions are enough for me. I love making Keto Onion Rings, zucchini and lemon breads, breaded fish and chicken, etc. There's so much we can do that truly makes it easy to live a keto lifestyle. I only eat packaged keto foods "Quest protein bars, Quest chips, Rebel ice cream etc" when I feel like I want to cheat, but I too stay away from processed foods as much as possible, though I am still making efforts to stay under 30 net carbs, and lower calories, until I get most of the weight off. You have to like what you're eating, or it isn't going to work long term.

  8. I found more success with carnivore than keto and used keto way of eating as like cheat days. If you can do cheat days without falling away from carnivore lifestyle. So it is so much easier to focus on fat and protein than counting macros for carbs. This is also why I enjoy carnivore lifestyle because it’s really a no brained diet.

  9. Love you Jess! I have been watching you since about my beginning in May 2020. The way I have done my journey has changed over time. Started with calorie restriction, went to keto and intermitting fasting, and now carnivore/ketovore with the addition of keto chow that I make in the ninja creami. Lost 150 in about 1 and 1/2 years but have put back on 25 as I went carnivore. Getting use to my body and seeing what is right for me. Keep on going.

  10. So, do you not consider PSMF to be keto? That's what it sounded like lol. That low carb AND low fat isn't keto? Sorry if I misunderstood what you meant 🤪. A couple PSMF days per week will definitely get ya goin' again! Glad you're still at it though! 🙌

  11. I love your videos – but I 100% HATE PSMF chokey bread. The ONLY one that I liked was the Indigo Nili's butter bread. Maybe you could combine indigo's butter bread recipe with some cottage cheese – but even when I watched you break a pc off – I could HEAR the texture. Love ya, and ty – but i'll pass on this.
