  1. I make this almost the same but I dice about 4 pieces of bacon and cook that after I cook and drain the hot sausage. I remove the bacon then use the bacon grease to saute the onion and garlic in. Then add the bacon back in right when I add the kale or spinach. It just seems to add a little something extra without overpowering the soup with bacon flavor. This looks delicious and I'm glad to see your daughter is feeling better ❤️
