RECIPES
Balsamic Glazed Chicken with Butternut Squash
6-7 chicken thighs
1 onion thinly sliced
2 cups butternut squash
2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary (less if you don’t love rosemary!)
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
3 apples chopped
1/4 cup honey
3/4 cup balsamic vinegar
place everything in your slow cooker for 5 hours on low then reduce the liquid down on a saucepan for 15 mins on high and pour over your dish, enjoy!

Sweet Corn Sweet Potato Chili recipe by: * I added my meal-prepped sweet potatoes at the end!
1 ½ lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 medium onion, diced
1 medium bell pepper, any color; diced
1 small jalapeno, seeds removed and finely diced
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 ½ tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt, plus more to taste
½ tsp. black pepper
1 ½–2 cups organic chicken broth (I used homemade bone broth)
1 (14-ounce) can full-fat coconut milk
Juice of ½ lime
½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges for garnish
Set heat to low and cook 5 hours, enjoy!

AMAZING Chicken Noodle Soup (the BEST!) from my book Growing Strong
best brown rice noodles!
3 carrots
2 stalks celery
1 sweet onion
1 tbs oil (MCT or ghee)
2 tsp arrowroot flour
2 tsp dried turmeric
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 garlic cloves, fresh pressed
salt to taste (it usually ends up being around 2-3 tbs depending on how salty your broth is do not be afraid of salt!)
pepper to taste
32 oz of chicken broth or homemade bone broth
1 cup of water
1 tbs ghee
saute veggies, garlic, and spices in pan & add arrowroot over the top. dump in crockpot with chicken, water and broth and cook on high for 3 hours and then shred the chicken and add the noodles & cook for another 40 mins. enjoy!

Crockpot “Shepherd Pie” recipe by but here’s how I did it crockpot style:
1 tbsp ghee
1 1/2 lbs grass fed stew meat
Sea salt and pepper
1 cup carrots diced
1 cup mushrooms (I pre-boiled mine this allows the hydrazine to evaporate)
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
sprinkle of sea salt for veggies
3/4 cup beef or chicken bone broth
2 1/2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp fresh minced thyme
1 tsp fresh minced rosemary
2 tsp arrowroot powder *ADD into bone broth to dissolve very important
mashed potatoes:
4-6 russet potatoes or 2 1/2 lbs peeled and cut into 2” pieces
2/3 cup full fat coconut milk blended prior to adding
3 Tbsp organic ghee
3 Tbsp nutritional yeast
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
set on low for 7 hours. add peas after 7 hours, an extra scoop of ghee, a little more arrowroot slurry (1 tsp of arrowroot mixed with water) top with mashed potatoes & parsley, and let cook for another 40 mins on low. enjoy!

place butternut squash in slow cooker on high for 4 hours.
recipe from *I used coconut cream instead but you can totally use either or!

  1. Definitely going to try a couple of these since being a pastry chef you have to wake up very early. Your husband was onto something though about cooking the dish down and adding eggs for a breakfast meal. He made a really great suggestion! Add salsa on top of his dish and eat it with chips! Yum!

  2. The rosemary balsamic chicken looks and sounds amazing. I’m pescatarian – can you replace the chicken with large uncooked prawns or salmon? Or can you leave meat/fish out entirely and make the rest as per the recipe? (I’d then pour it over some precooked ‘veggie-meat’)

  4. Hi! I’m new here, but this was a great video! I’ve already tried the chicken noodle soup yesterday (my kids cleaned their bowls 🙌🏻) and I have the Balsamic Honey Chicken in the crock pot and the smells are next level! I really appreciate the healthy and dairy free recipes. ❤
