  1. Also, the miso hack is perfect! I’m going to a family thanksgiving for the first time since my mom passed away. And I’m taking green beans in her honor. I’ve been stressing about replicating her flavor since she used to add bacon drippings. So many thanks. 🙏🙏 🌱🌱💚💚

  2. It's a common misconception that alcohol cooks out of dishes. The cooking time and type of dish determine how much stays in the dish. It is recommended that pregnant women, recovering alcoholics, children, or people that cannot have alcohol stay away from dishes cooked with it.

  3. I love that you mentioned Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals – such nostalgia for those Food Network Days. Loved that show & $40 A Day that she hosted. I know she doesn't really consider herself a cheffy type cook but she's a great cook and she's the one who got me interested in cooking so I sing her praises from those years. Martha seemed too "mature" (read: uncool in my early 20s mind at the time; it's so silly to say that!). I STILL use that garbage bowl and yeah, it makes everything easier.
