Banana pudding with the little vanilla wafers layered in was standard fare for many growing up but is loaded with sugar, dairy, and artificial flavors and colors. This weeks recipe is a whole food plant based twist on this popular dish. Made with real bananas, this pudding whips up into a creamy and delicious pudding that is as good for you as it is for dessert (or breakfast). I like to make it along side my peanut cookies for a tasty treat. This recipe is refined sugar-free, oil-free, gluten-free, vegan, and absolutely delicious!

I love this recipe! I made it several times already. I have a friend who does not like bananas, so for the first time today I tried it with a different fruit and it turns out it works just as well with defrosted strawberries :o) Thanks Jill for all the great work you do! I love your videos and recipes! Best wishes from Germany
Peanut butter and bananas… you get me.
Looks awesome!
Are the oats the thickener?
Smashed banana 🍌 + strawberries 🍓 = fat free bliss! 😻👍
I don't want to waste the rolled oats and cashews. Can I use them as porridge?
I forgot about this one. I made it a Year ago ! It’s in the refrigerator as I type!! Going in my written “keeper” box this time!
Does this recipe have a light banana flavor? I only ask because you only used 1 banana. Can I add more bananas to get more banana flavor or???
How come my pudding looks light brown but yours looks whitish yellow?
I appreciate you & your super healthy recipes. Would love to have nutritional info included with the recipes.
Jill, your show makes my mouth water!
That might be a wonderful alternative to oatmeal in the morning, rich, nourishing and a sweet start in the day; I'll give it a try next weekend – with the peanutbutter cookies, of course.
This pudding is so incredibly delicious 😋. I subbed 1 cup of the water with homemade almond milk and also added 1/3 cup almonds instead of cashews. My favorite pudding ever. So creamy. Thank you so much for this recipe Jill. ❤️
I made this today. Everybody loved it 🤩 Thank you
Hi l made this Banana pudding lam not vegan wanted to try things without oil and l usually dont like sugar glad you use wholefoods like the dates l love them. I do use chia seeds and l bought some flax seeds for the egg for one of your recipes. I eat alot of fiber food not turning vegan but lam loving how its oil free and wholefoods l love that. Difently wanna make more of your recipes. My daughter loves the banana pudding one.
your recipes sound delicious but I can't use the ones with nuts in 🙁
i must try this. ive had some vegan banana pudding thats so sweet it makes me feel gross after.
I am confused. When I soak cashews, there is nothing that Ineed to strain out using my vitamix. I wonder if it is the oats rather than the cashews that makes the solids that need to be strained.
We are preparing our Thanksgiving dinner menu and will be giving this a try. Thank you 😊
I bet it would be even better if you assembled the pudding with the cookies (alternating layers) and let it set in the fridge for 24 hours. Then the cookies would be super soft, and you can eat it with a spoon. Love the idea of the cream, too — maybe mixed with the pudding to give you more to layer with.
Hi, love your channel. Your recipes that call for oats is there something else I can substitute for them?
Thanks to youtube for recommending your video to me.once I watch your several videos I am getting more interested.. "your videos are like magical cycle, once I enter I can't find exit.." if i'd watch you earlier I could enjoy such damn delicious food…💜💜
So basically you made cashew oat milk right? So can we just use a plant base store bought milk?
I made this today and wow, its delicious. I used 6 fresh dates instead of 4 and the sweetness was perfect for us. Also added a bit of almond extract for the aroma. Wonderful recipe, thank you so much for sharing.
I'm having a binge-watch session with your videos as I haven't watched them for a while and needed to catch-up. Your recipes just get better and better! Yet another I'll be trying this week.
Will seeds work can’t have nuts or is the silk tofu best
True! I usually use cashews and/or silk tofu for creamification, too. 1:24
Ive tried this recipe twice following the recipe to a tee, and both time it turns brownish not cream color at all. Any idea what I’m doing wrong. No burn either.
I just binge watched a few of your videos and must say I love your WFPB recipes. 😋 Ty for sharing 🙂
I absolutely love this recipe. Thank you so much. I top with coconut granola. I will be making this again and again.
Too much sugar, too much carb.
This looks so wonderful. I will definitely try this
