👉 FULL RECIPE:
🔹 Extra virgin olive oil (I used Early Harvest Greek EVOO)
🔹 1 medium red onion
🔹 4 Medium juicy tomatoes
🔹 1 English cucumber (hot house cucumber)
🔹 1 green bell pepper cored
🔹 Greek pitted Kalamata olives a handful to your liking
🔹 kosher salt a pinch
🔹 1-2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
🔹 Blocks of Greek feta cheese
🔹½ tablespoon dried oregano
The traditional I know is not served with the vinegar, just olive oil. Yes it varies on region/resources etc. But of the salads I have had in small "traditional" towns away from tourism, and when my family has made it, none had vinegar
Freaking Phenomenal 😍😋🤤
idiotic way to make greek salad. Atleast crush feta
Just like how I had growing up!
I love Greek salad, but I cut the vegetables into bite sizes and crumble the feta. It so much easier to serve and eat, even if it’s not authentic.
