The ONLY THANKSGIVING SALAD I Would Serve! | EASY Salad Recipe


If you’re looking for a cold weather delicious salad that is fit for any holiday table, look no further! This delicious fall salad is loaded with cold weather flavors that warm your soul during the autumn and winter months. Not only is this easy salad recipe packed with big flavors, the maple dijon vinaigrette is one of the best salad dressings ever! IMO This is one of the only salads that’s acceptable to serve for Thanksgiving!

• Spring mix salad greens
• red onion, thinly sliced and soaked in cold water for about 10-15. Drained and dried after soaking.
• roasted butternut squash, peeled & cut into 1.5” cubes (See recipe below)
• apples, peeled & cut into 1 inch cubes (Toss with lemon juice to prevent browning)
• smoked gouda cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes
• dried California dates, pitted and sliced
• bacon, into ½ pieces and fried until crispy
• dried cranberries
• crushed walnuts

Maple Dijon Vinegrette
• ½ cup olive oil
• ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
• 2 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp whole grain mustard
• 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
• 3-4 tbsp maple syrup
• 1 tbsp Chef Ange Base Seasoning –
• 1/4 tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp mild curry powder

Roasted Butternut Squash Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375F, convection setting on
2. Season cut squash with:
• 2 tbsp olive oil,
• 1 tbsp Chef Ange Base Seasoning –
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp nutmeg
3. Mix until well coated and spread evenly on a baking sheet.
4. Bake for about 30 minutes in preheated oven or until squash pieces are golden brown.
5. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes or longer before plating salads.

  2. I love a sweet and savory salad! Can’t wait to try this one. Applebees oriental chicken salad, and Bob Evan’s Cranberry pecan salad are two commercial ones that I like. What other cheeses would you recommend? Would Crumbled Feta or Bleu Cheese work? Do you candy the walnuts in the maple syrup?
