New year, new dieting craze. The ketogenic diet is the latest in popular diets in the US. It shares many similarities with the Atkins diet; it’s low-to-no carbs, some protein, and a lot of delicious fat.
The keto diet isn’t exactly new. It’s been used to treat epilepsy since the 1920s, and it’s had promising outcomes from treating Type 2 Diabetes. However, epilepsy and diabetes aren’t the only reason people give the ketogenic diet a try. It’s also used as a diet for weight loss. The diet banishes most carbs, including fruit, and opts-in for fatty foods like avocados, salmon, eggs, cheese, butter, oil, and the holy grail of fatty meats — bacon.
Unfortunately, science has not yet proven the keto diet to be the miraculous cure to losing weight, that some kept devotees claim it to be. The more extreme a diet, the harder it is to adhere to, and though the diet may be beneficial to some, that does not mean it will work for all who give it a try.

I first heard of and started Keto in 2016, I dropped weight EASILY, but what took me by a pleasant surprise was the mental health benefits. I am easily agitated, moody, and anxious, but while on Keto, I was calm and happy for the most part!!
Keto diet plus exercise is just the best, I don't even follow a keto diet, kinda of… Took the keto diet and made some changes for myself, plus jumping cord for 10-15 mins a day and I have managed to lose weight really fast, plus and appetite has decreased severely, have dropped around 25 pounds since December 2022 until now April 2023.
Keto is not really for weight loss, it’s for healthier living. You might want to update this. Also, please see impact of ketogenic diet in slowing/reversing aging and age-related diseases. Btw, the argument at the end that because it’s not easy to stick to, doesn’t mean it’s not good or not worth doing.

I weighed 153 lbs went I started dieting in 2016. When I got to 136 lbs I started to plateau. The keto diet helped me slim down to the 110lbs I was before my post college weight gain. I still pretty much eat keto but reintroduced fruit and some carbs.
One diet I can stick with are fast foods and chip

Been on keto for 9 years now. I mean come on – nothing tastes better than grass-fed steak. 🤣🤣🤣
It’s a proven diet for me. Done it 2 times, both times resulting in 10+ pound weight loss relatively quickly and easily.
The more carbs you eat the more water your body holds onto which lead to a more Bloated , Puffy , Sloppy looking body. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. High sodium also does this too so you have to make sure you drink at least a gallon of water a day to flush all of the excess water weight from the sodium.

The best diet overall is one you can stick with and since I’m about to start my third year on keto, I’ll call your comments in this video questionable. The keto lifestyle is the answer to the worst epidemic we face and that is diabetes.

It's helped me tremendously. My arthritis has eased and my fibromyalgia has all but disappeared. And I lost about 2 pounds a week as a bonus!

What they don’t tell you is keto lowers your immune system exponentially. This is a Terrible time for that
I've been trying to limit my bread intake and taken to replacing most of my bread with whole wheat. I've also tried to exercise more, I'm not following a particular trend but it's helped me.
start vegan diet with lots of raw veggies since low calories and high volume in the stomach, and start moving, running, cycling, whatever,… that worked for me

Ketosis is not a "claim" made by Keto devotees, it is a meazurable state. You can run exams to determine if a body is doing ketosis or not.

All diet and fasten system got one thing in common which is eliminating sugar (nature made and mad man) intakes which found in carbs and fruits naturally. I usually stay away from hybrid food (lack of nutrition) and dairy products because it help generation mucus.

Diets aren't just about losing weight. Its also about maintaining body chemistry to avoid cancers and viruses.
You need carb if you're lifting heavy weights. If you are too low on carb you won't be able to lift as much as you could with enough carbs
