  2. I make garbanzo soup, but I puree it. The bread being pounded in the mortar and added to the soup is always delicious. I did it before with a chicken/shrimp stew and came out very good. Thank for the recipe I will try it next time I make garbanzo soup.

  3. 03/01/22 This is superb, Albert. I ran across this recipe this morning and knew I needed to make it ASAP. I am a garbanzo bean lover. I had to pressure cook my garbanzo beans so it took a little longer for me to make. I had everything except the red pepper. I left it out. Your thickener is exceptional. The egg took it over the top. I even grated my tomatoes like you did. What a treat this stew is. 💖 I knew I'd love it when I saw your video and I do love it and you. 🤗Thank you so much. This recipe is outstanding.

  4. Ah, Querido Alberto, thanks for remembering that those of us from the U.S. still don't weigh ingredients when cooking! I suspect that my version of your stew is lacking in flavor xq smoked paprika doesn't seem to be available in the Central American country where I live these days.     Another tip for those concerned about eggs(which I completely believe is misinformation as eggs are such a complete health package in itself and made by Gods design) you can purée a can of drained cannelloni beans and add to stews or soups for thickening. Same with retried beans to chili. Added nutrition and fiber)
