My 8-year-old niece Cha-Em told me that she loved to cook, so I asked if she wanted to cook with me on HTK. She looked at me in disbelief and said, “Really?” When I confirmed, she had the biggest smile on her face and couldn’t wait for filming date! Join Cha-em and me in making this healthy dish you and your kids can make together and enjoy together. It’s a great dish to have as an appetizer, in a soft taco, or with rice, like we often do. Remember to get kids in your life involved in the kitchen, some of them might just be waiting to be asked!

Pailin “Pai” Chongchitnant is the author of the Hot Thai Kitchen cookbook, co-host of a Canadian TV series One World Kitchen on Gusto TV, and creator and host of the YouTube channel Pailin’s Kitchen.
Pai was born and raised in southern Thailand where she spent much of her “playtime” in the kitchen. She traveled to Canada to study Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia, and was later trained as a chef at Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in San Francisco.
After working in both Western and Thai professional kitchens, she decided that her passion really lies in educating and empowering others to cook at home via YouTube videos, her cookbook, and cooking classes.
