Thai Pomelo Salad | थाई पोमेलो सलाद | Salad Recipe | Healthy Recipe | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana


Check the tastes – Sharpness of the garlic, sweetness of the palm and brown sugar, refreshing mint and the nuttiness of the peanut butter adds a different zing to the fruit and veggie salad.



250 grams pomelo, peeled, and cut into wedges
½ cup shredded cabbage
½ cup shredded purple cabbage
½ cup mixed coloured capsicums strips
¼ cup chopped spring onion greens
1 cup bean sprouts
2 tbsps chopped fresh mint leaves
2 tbsps shredded basil leaves + for garnish
¼ cup coarsely crushed roasted salted peanuts + for garnish
Toasted black sesame seeds
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1½ tbsps brown sugar
½ tbsp finely chopped ginger
½ tsp palm sugar
1 tsp red chilli sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp blended sesame oil
Salt to taste
2 tbsps creamy peanut butter
1 tbsp lemon juice


1. To make the dressing, combine together garlic, brown sugar, ginger, palm sugar, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, blended sesame oil, salt, and peanut butter in a bowl. Add lemon juice and mix.
2. Take pomelo in a large bowl, add cabbage, purple cabbage, capsicum, spring onion greens, bean sprouts, mint leaves, basil leaves, and peanuts and drizzle the prepared dressing and gently toss till well combined.
3. Transfer the salad into a serving plate, garnish with peanuts, basil leaves, and black sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
