Tofu is a good vegan/vegetarian source of protein. Sweet ‘N Sour Tofu by @AprilFlower Arts, is an easy-to-make recipe as well as a delicious way to have tofu. However, you can replace tofu with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and follow the exact same recipe.
Ingredients for Sweet ‘n Sour Tofu
Tofu (Extra/Medium Firm)- 350g.
Cooking Oil- 3-4 Tbsp.
Finely chopped garlic- 2 Tbsp
Finely chopped onion- ½ cup
Green beans – ½ cup
Sliced carrots- ½ cup
Colorful bell peppers (capsicum) – ½ cup
Sliced cabbage – ½ cup
For the sauce- 2 tbsp light soy sauce, 2 tbsp tomato ketchup or sweet ‘n sour sauce, 1 tbsp chilli sauce (optional), 1 tsp sugar, 1-2 tsp white vinegar (optional)
Water – ¼ to ¾ cup
Salt to taste
Toasted sesame seeds, cilantro/coriander leaves and green spring onion to garnish (optional).
