I have an idea that solves food prepping AND the color of the chaffle. Measure out each chaffle. Form it with hands into a patty. Reference the shape of your waffle maker. Lay them down on some parchment. When all six are formed lift them up and place them in the trays and close the lids. Each chaffle should cook evenly. Prepping them would be the same except lay them down on the parchment and cover with parchment. Slide into a freezer ziplock bag. Stick in the fridge and take out what you need during week and cook fresh but this way most of the work is done.
Thank you for this! Love the lower calories option!
I guess I’ve never understood why Chaffles have to be crispy. To me, they are a bread replacement and bread isn’t crispy. Using them as croutons makes sense, but sandwiches? I prefer a softer bread. With that said… these do look good for specific uses. Always like your videos!
Maybe reheat them in a toaster
I make a big batch of chaffles and freeze them. Reheat in toaster or microwave. Not quite as good as fresh but super convenient. Love them with smoked salmon and cream cheese!
Can we use a different flour?
Thank you!!! When I made chaffles it was a disaster but this gives me hope!
Thanks Ladies!!
Love seeing new recipes that don't use Almond Flour or Coconut Flour.
somebody on your fb page suggested using a george forman grill to make choffles , what do you think of that ???? 😎✌🖖👍👌🤓
I use your chaffel recipe every day, here's a couple of tips Emily and Sarah. I use egg white powder always, this way I don't have to remember to use the liquid egg whites before they expire. So here's what I do – combine lupin flour, egg white powder, and xanthan gum together FIRST. Then add mozzarella cheese, and mix. I then add small amount of water to mixture. Combine and let sit for about 5 min. In 4 chaffel maker, I put a layer of shredded cheddar cheese on the bottom, add the flour/mozzarella mixture, then top with another layer of cheddar cheese. Cook for 5 minutes. The additional layers of cheddar cheese make the chaffels even crispier. Let sit on wire rack for 10 minutes. Crispiness perfection.
Lunch EVERY day, for the rest of my life. 🙂
Was wondering if you have ever used Carnivore Crisp meat flour for your chaffles – no carbs
What is your opinion of Guar Gum?
Hey, that soul bread you did a day or so ago was banging. I'm gonna make that regularly. I put egg salad on it. It was the bomb. Boom 💥. I'm gonna sweeten it for a dessert bread too. I've got some banana extract. If you beat me to it let me know how it is…
😎✌🖖👍👌🤓
Sorry, can't do the xanthum gum….slimy
I pop leftover Chaffles in a hot air fryer for a minute or so….nice and crunchy again!
Now I must make Chaffles! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
❤
Thanks! Looks yummy ❤
What Lupin Flour did you use? Your Amazon link is Almond Flour. Each brand of lupin flour has different serving size or carb/fiber content. Just trying to find lowest possible.
Darn now I have to get some lupine flour😊
Hi you two! I’m not always so forthcoming but I have to be here. I’m sitting outside the cancer center while my husband has his hopefully last chemo treatment. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer last October. Since then our Keto diet has radically changed. Soft foods mostly for him. So this is not our regular infusion nurse and frankly she’s not very nice. My husband told me to go into the car and chill which I am doing. Then I see your video. ‘Em, seriously? You are seeing the colors of the rainbow!!!’ 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Thank you SO very much for the laughter! You too Sarah! I love you both! You brighten my day every time I see you two! I will definitely be trying these out even while I’m making cream of wheat, lol. His prognosis is good so no worries there. Love you both. I’d subscribe over and over if I could but I certainly spread the word about you two. ❤️❤️
Sometimes I add caraway seeds to make it taste like rye bread when making a Reuben
Excited to try this!
I am on my way to see if I have any Lupin flour left to try this.
Can't wait to try! Do you use egg white protein powder or just egg white powder? Also, could I substitute with Non flavored protein powder? Hoping not to have to have both in my pantry!
Hi! Your new chaffles look great. I've been wanting to try lupin flour, but had read that some brands "may" be more bitter. I assume the brand you use is a good one, but couldn't find it on Amazon. Any recommendations on other brands?
Can l use oat fiber instead of Lupin flour?
Have you ever tried pork rinds instead of any flours?
