If you want to learn more about veganism in regards to the nutritional aspect, I’d recommend reading The Starch Solution and How Not to Diet. They’re actually interesting and well-written. Btw I don’t follow their suggestions tbh (I love processed foods—sue me), but understanding the foundation reminds me to keep it in mind when making choices. Disclaimer: these books can seem triggering because it discusses diets and weight loss, but it explains why so many fail to lose weight when that is their goal. This book does not promote diet culture; it promotes food freedom of the foods we are meant to eat for our health and wellness. I decide not to eat that way all the time, but I implement some of the suggestions because they actually help me. Anyways, just thought I’d leave this here for those who like to read nonfiction 📖💫

Thank you, Linda. I have PCOS and have always struggled with my weight and body image, spending years and years on restricting and counting. Thanks to you I finally understood that if I take care of my body and my mind properly, my condition will also improve. I am much more than what others think of me and I don't have to look a certain way for everyone to accept me.
I now have final high school exams(
baccalaureate in my country) and I was very close to starting to restrict what I eat, to exercise just to burn all the calories, but I realized that it will be better for me to focus on the balance between exams and health, not some toxic habits from the past.
