Chrisal is back in the kitchen making a twist on one of Baidawi’s Guava Season favourites. Using the same Channa Soup Recipe, she swapped out the channa for pigeon peas, added dasheen and incorporated clove and nutmeg to make a delicious and hearty meal.

It’s definitely one of those “Rainy Day Recipes” to add to your repertoire and comes together in under 30 mins, prep time included. The whole family can enjoy it, especially if you’re a Pigeon Peas Lover.

  1. Team pigeon peas….like you I have a distaste for thick thick soup. So when I make my peas soup, I thin it out. I also do the stewed peas and dumplin, green pigeon peas and rice, my fav, although in my country our pelau is similar to yours except the pigeon peas & coconut milk…♥♥
