Low Calorie, Sugar Free, 3 Ingredient Homemade Bread Recipe

Ok, technically 4 ingredients, but do we have to count water? LOL.
There’s really only one technique that would make it possible for homemade bread to be low in calories, and that’s by not adding sugar or other ingredients, and how big you cut the slices.
Otherwise, calories in flour is the same no matter how you look at it. 1/4 cup of flour contains 100 calories.

FULL DETAILS HERE –

So, I used a 10 inch bread pan. That way, if I cut my bread into 1/2 inch slices, I could get 80 calories per slice! There IS store bought bread that is under 80 calories, but once in a while, a girl’s just got to eat some squishy, chewy, hearty, homemade bread!

𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon rapid rise yeast
1 1/2 cup hot water
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Stir until well incorporated, and then use your hands to mix it till no flour remains.
Cover with a towel and let rise until double in size. (about 1 hour)
Spray a 10 inch bread pan with cooking spray. Put dough in bread pan and let rise for 1 more hour.
Bake in oven at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Slice in 1/2 inch slices if you want the calories and macros to match mine.

  1. It a great recipe but not sugar free:)
White wheat is another word of sugar. ( carb = sugar )
And it is about 80 cal a slice- not very low calorie as well
So it's still low comparing to 120-110 calorie breads,
But there are 30-40-20 calories breads out there made of no-carb (which means no sugar) breads 🙂

But thank you for sharing 🙂
