  1. Sooo good i just made it it is amazing 🙂 My friend just took me to an asian (korean, japanese, thai) store she has talked about for years and i bought the store basically hehe (I spent a lot of money) I bought things I remembered I saw on youtube and wanted to try! Im so super excited. This is the first recipe I made using tofu from that store. It is so very different from the tofu I am used to. It is very interesting (I still tweaked the recipe for ingredients I had on hand, like I did not buy enoki mushrooms but used shiitake instead and it is amazing!!! I also added a tad bit of gochujang becuse I dont have gochugaru (I just think it would be too hot to my taste) and oh my gosh, this is the bomb! Love korean recipes sooooo much!!!!

  2. I’m american/Norwegian and I am a big fan of doenjang-jjigae (as long as there isn’t too much seafood in it (I am a terrible Norwegian)
I have liked a lot of the other Korean food I’ve tried as well but not everything. The first time I had doenjang-jjigae I was like Yes! This is what I needed! happy successful food ordering. It was great.

  3. This is, hands down, my favorite Korean dish. I lived in Korea (up until a few months ago) and anytime I told a Korean friend that this was my favorite dish, they were so surprised. I always explain it the same way you do, as a comfort food. I'm not Korean and didn't grown up with this food, but this is what I always imagined my mom or grandma would have served me if I was Korean. I'm so happy to see another vegan version of this stew and can't wait to try it!

  4. Great recipe thank you 🙂 I made a inspired version as I can’t get kelp doengang or gochugaru where I am so I did a shittake stock with red miso and Kashmiri chilli powder and it worked great. I also added a little toasted sesame oil at the end as I love it with miso. Not sure how legit this is but it was tasty. Keep up the good work!

  5. I love your channel so much! I’m not Korean, but my spouse is half-Korean, and I fell in love with Korean food because of all the food his mom makes. Even though I’m not Korean, Korean food is my favorite type of food, and it’s also my comfort food and I find myself craving it all the time. I think I actually like it more than my spouse 😂 But he likes all the meat dishes like 갈비 and 불고기, which as a vegan I don’t eat anymore. I was so happy and excited when I found your channel, since my mother in law told me that being vegan isn’t popular for Koreans. I’m so excited to try out this recipe!

  6. OH MY GOD IT'S SERIOUSLY A FOOD THAT GODS EAT🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜
I'm a girl from Europe and because of your cool recipes i decided to buy the essential Asian ingredients, and this is my very first homemade Korean food AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! I have made the Peanut teriyaki stir fry as well and it was AWESOME!!Thank you Rose for uploading such cool recipes, I will surely do them ALL! Also, nowadays I never felt like cooking it felt like a burden for me but THANKS TO YOU, I love cooking again!!! As a vegetarian, I thought that I couldn't really eat Korean dishes but I was absolutely wrong!!! Once again thank you and please keep uploading more Asian recipes 😍
