Hi everyone! 💕💕💕💕 Welcome back to Low Carb Love. Today, we are making KETO TAMALES! How to Make the BEST Mexican Tamales with Pork | Just 1 NET CARB!!

Meat & Chili Salsa Recipe:

5lbs of pork leg/butt/shoulder (make sure it has fat)
Cook with 1/2 large onion
4-5 garlic cloves
1.5 tbsp Real Salt (discount code: lowcarblove)
Cook for 45mins – 1 hr or until super tender

Sauce
2 pasilla chilies
3-5 Guajillo chilies
2 cascabel chiles
Boil for 10-15mins medium heat
3 tablespoons of chicken bouillon
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
3 garlic cloves
Add 3-4 cups of broth from meat and blend

1g Net carb
1g total carb
0g fiber
7g fat
43g protein
252 calories

Tamales Dough Recipe:
Ingredients
4 ounces of cream cheese
4 cups of almond flour
1 cup of Manteca
2 tablespoon of baking powder
¼ teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon chicken bouillon
10 ounces of mexican cheese

Preparation
In a microwave safe bowl add cheese and melt at 30 second intervals.
Add in all ingredients and mix well.
Taste dough and adjust to taste.
Spread on washed corn husk

Tips
Soak corn husk in water.

  2. I just made these. Followed your recipe and not really sure what happened but it was kind of gross. The filling was amazing. It was just the keto masa. It didn’t need flavor the pro was right but something about the texture of it just wasn’t good. I decided to keep them cooking I’m going to see if I can get them firmer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  3. People put some strange things in tamales here in the USA. I could probably see putting some cheese into the tamales as part of the filling, but not in the masa. The almond flour sound real bad, you ruined a fantastic traditional Mexican food. Traditional corn masa is the only masa that should ever be used. I guess people will eat anything no matter how bad it is. YouTubers come up with some wierd takes on food that ruin good food.
