This weeks recipe is Keto Seafood Cakes, you actually get two recipes for the price of one (Free), we make both Salmon cakes and Crab Cakes.  Sarah and I both have great memories of Salmon cakes from our childhoods, her is Idaho and me growing up in Washington D.C., worlds apart.  Both of these recipes are easy to make and delicious (our kids even like them).  Growing up on the East Coast I’d never had crab cakes until I became an adult and left the Washington, Maryland area.  The Chesapeake bay crab cakes were famous even when I was a child.  We’ve made our crab cakes a bit more keto friendly.

  2. My mom raised me on salmon patties from canned salmon. My dad insisted on topping them with white sauce and shirred egg…🙄. I'm not 'sure' what that is… 😂 Lol!! My mom would leave the bones in… My dad would complain. She'd say, "They're good for you…". An argument would ensue… I just picked them out… quietly…🤐. I think we ate them with fried potatoes… And bread and butter…

  3. Thanks for the salmon patty recipe, I am new to keto and love making salmon patties. So glad for this recipe because I am a backwoods country girl and live in Texas and granny would make these using cornmeal with flour and egg for the binders. So I'm pretty excited to make these I always have a can of pink salmon in the cabinet. Thanks again for a great recipe.

    Update: made the crab cakes and they are so, so good! Made a very easy homemade tartar sauce and it was the perfect entree! Definitely going in the rotation. I also eliminated the almond flour, didn’t need it at all to hold the cakes together.😘

  5. This video was especially touching for me. My mom passed last year in October. One of my fondest memories was that she used to fix salmon patties for us when we were growing up and serve it over rice. Thanks for sharing. I haven't fixed these since I've grown up but I plan to try your recipe.
