  1. I just made this. I made it exactly as Joe describes except that I used Metabolic Nutrition Dymatize Vanilla flavored protein powder (all whey, not blended with casein). I think the crust is delicious but the filling is a little bitter (probably from the protein powder). I wonder if the whey/casein blend protein powder Joe recommends is less bitter? It’s still good overall. Just keep in mind that the recipe is for 2 servings if you’re tracking.

I just bought some whey protein before I saw this recipe and got the unflavored, darn.. BTW, I love love love your pumpkin spice donuts and pumpkin spice latte recipes you created. I need to buy a case of canned pumpkin now LOL. Also ordered some apple e tract so I can make your cider donuts. 😋
