  1. I tried this recipe today. I did not have 5 Spice so I used nutmeg, star anise, szechaun pepercorns, and chili flakes in addition to the other ingredients. It came out AMAZING!! Served it over mixed greens as a "bowl" with guacamole, salsa, sour cream and a generous squeeze of lime. Appreciate your content as always.

  3. as i'm seeing this perfect pork skin with the fat inside,wanted to say that it is not that difficult to make lard by yourself ? it takes a little bit of time but for sure worth it and also you can also make a video while making it 🙂

  5. I'm so glad you posted a keto friendly version of carnitas. I'm not living the keto lifestyle, but I do eat a fairly low carb diet, so this works. It's nice to have options. After all, we are the Ritchie Rich of how we eat this Mexican pork dish. But would you say this dish joined your clean plate club? (Shout out to Andrew Rea over at Binging with Babish)
