I've been making jalapeno chaffles. 1c shredded cheddar, 1oz softened cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/2-1Tbsp chopped jalapeno. Mix and wafflize. I added onions, green peppers, bacon crumbles, and topped with sour cream to make non-potato skins.

Looking at everyone’s comments I tried experimenting by placing one coat of breading, rolling in my palms than I placed it in the freezer for about 15 mins. I removed them & did another egg wash & coating. Worked perfect! I didn’t need a 3rd coating. They turned out crispy & tasted great ! My 7 year old didn’t know the difference.
Reading the reviews and having felt like a 2 yr old trying to coat the cheese…I’ll summarize what I gathered from all the replies and my own experience:
1) use a fork to stripe the sticks…it give it something to grab on to.
2)have a wet and dry towel, to wipe your hands between each trip…Someone suggests using gloves.
3)If you’re still having challenges, try rolling them in your palms…I haven’t tried this.
4)Make sure you’ve taken your meds…this will test your patience!😂🤣
I made them! My non keto husband said they were good. I’m going to make another batch tomorrow to keep in the freezer for lite snacks. I used an air fryer and I used Rao’s Marinara sauce.
