I just found your channel. Great job
"Crisps" have the topping like you made that you sprinkle over the top and you get a crumbly topping (only I cut cold butter chunks into it – like you would cut lard into flour for pie DOUGH…). Sometimes it's actually called a "Crumble" . "COBBLER" has more of a soft, sweet drop biscuit batter that you dollop all over the top. The dollops rises and spreads out as it's baking, and the fruit oozes out between the "sweet drop biscuits batter" that have risen. With Cobbler topping you use the baking powder or soda …I have never used both. I don't put baking soda or powder in my Crisp or Crumble topping. It typically is not supposed to "rise". In my crisp topping, I also add some of the same spices I use in the "apple filling"….In the COBBLER topping, I do add the sugar alternative, but only white granulated (I use Swerve) and enough to make it like a sweet short cake flavor…you can also use vanilla in the batter. I sometimes use butter rum or English toffee flavor/extract instead.

I just made this and I'm amazed… jaw on the floor amazed! I reduced the recipe because I only had 2 zucchini, so I cooked mine using 2 custard ramekins. They turned out great! Thanks a bunch for sharing the recipe!

How much apple cider vinegar would I use instead of the lemon juice? Still a half cup, or should I cut that with water because the taste is so strong?

Good morning folks, I made this and the zucchini was spot on but I found the topping too sweet for me so next time I will not add any as I like the flavor of browned almond flour. My neighbor loved it, for him I added regular vanilla ice cream, he's not on Keto. Today I am making it with sugar free strawberry freezer jam that I made this summer. I omitted the spices as I know the cooked zucchini will take on the flavor of the strawberries. Thanks for all your great recipes.
It was sooo good was so missing my fall apple cobbler and apple pie I'm going to try it with an apple pie could not believe how much it tastes like apples and could not taste the zucchini my kids even tasted it and were blown away thank you so much for sharing

1st Round of Spices:
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg (?)
(You never said an amount at all! But google suggests 2:1 cinnamon to nutmeg ratio)
1/8 tsp allspice
1 tsp vanilla
2nd Round of Spices:
Does anyone know? You only said that you had to drain more water off, and so you added "more" spices!! What does that MEAN??? Or have you since found a better way to get rid of more water BEFORE adding spices??? Please help! I really want to try this!
The written recipe is missing amounts for spices! Just says "to taste"! Wha??? Are you assuming only professional and seasoned chefs are trying your recipes? Haha! Please don't leave the rest of us out in the dark! Give measurements to use, and let the pros make their own adjustments!

OMG! Sarah you have out done yourself! Apple was never at the top of my list for pies but I thought I would give this a go. In my opinion, it's better! This one is definitely a keeper.
Hi. I am new to keto and tried this last night and it was excellent. My husband suggested adding some chopped nuts on top. I am not sure if that is allowed. Do you have a favorite brown sugar substitute? I am so confused on which are good sugar/brown sugar/powdered sugar substitutes to get.
Just made this from the printed recipe. I thought it was odd that there were no traditional apple pie spices in the printed version. Too late, I went back to the video and saw that you had them in the video along with the vanilla. You might want to check the printed recipe. Guess I can sprinkle some spices over the cobbler when I serve it.

If you do try the chayote squash, make sure you wear rubber gloves, your hands will peal. It is just unsightly not painful. Looks delish!
