Keto Chili Recipe Emiley’s Favorite Chili
While I know everyone makes their chili different and uses different spices and ingredients this is just one of my favorite ways to make it which keeps it both simple and delicious! You can always cut ingredients you may not be a fan of or add some of your favorites…I know sometimes I change it up too.

ingredients I used for this recipe… be mindful this is a huge pot of chili and you can always cut this in half or quarter it.

6 lbs 80/20 ground beef
2 lbs beer bratwurst (cut from the casings)
1 lb chopped bacon
1 can organic crushed tomatoes or (1 1/4 cup)-I use Cento brand or Aldi’s organic
2 small jalapenos
1 habanero pepper

Now on to the spices…
2 tsp chopped/minced onion
4 tsp chili powder
1 tsp basil
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp hatch red and green chili flakes
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground cayenne pepper
2 tsp Redmond’s garlic pepper (this does have salt in it)
1 cup beef bone broth

Once I have all of the meats browned then I add all of the other ingredients and let simmer for about an hour. Either enjoy now or later….because we all know chili is always better the next day! 😊

I've been looking for a good keto chili recipe with the colder weather coming and my family loves chili on Sundays with football as well, but I'm the only keto person in my household. I'm sure everyone would enjoy that chili recipe though. Also, Emily I absolutely love your fall decor. Super cute. You have such beautiful style. Can't wait to try this recipe, thanks for sharing!

  2. Beautifully done Emily, seriously~ I've been making homemade chili for about 35 yrs now, & I can say with some certainty that you clearly know what you're doing👍✨
    Even before going low carb, I always used waaaay more meat than beans~ usually about 5 to one, because I use five different meats. It took me a while before getting brave enough to use actual minced peppers- not just the chili powder- & I'm sure glad I did, because it makes a HUGE difference in flavor! I like to make a separate beef gravy from cooking steaks all week, add a little bacon grease to that & then add in w/the meats & tomatoes. I also make roasted garlic paste every few weeks & find that it adds a ton of flavor too. Basically, it's all in order to add interest & flavor, right?! Same goes for crispy browning half a red onion to throw in there~ which of course does raise the carb count. I realize not everyone is into that, but it's like you said, make it to your own taste =) *I also put sour cream & cheese on mine to serve~` YUM!

  3. Chili is actually how I accidentally discovered keto. Though I was interested in losing weight, it was primarily my desperation over how bad my allergies had become that I figured I'd try an elimination diet to see if what I ate contributed to how bad I felt. I then thought about what was something that I could eat every day and not get bored of: chili. I took one of my basic recipes and started eating just one ingredient (plus salt) and then after a few days added in one more ingredient. After a few weeks I was eating chili with most of the main ingredients I regularly use. Even before then, maybe a week into it, I started feeling so much better with so many medical issues I became obsessed with looking up YouTube videos about elimination dieting and was inundated with carnivore, keto, ketovore diets, etc.

    Oh, btw, also from Ohio. I have been converting people away from bean heavy chili. It's just obvious how much meatier the chili gets when you don't fill up on carb fillers.
