KETO BREAD I My Famous Almond Buns I Easy and Simple Keto Low Carb Recipe ONLY 3g Net Carbs


I’ve been making these almond buns for years and I’m so excited to finally be able to share a step by step with you!

These buns are a replacement for bread or sandwich thins and you can have them in so many different ways. I’m showing you a sandwich today!

Almond Buns Recipe:
1 1/2 cups almond flour (cannot sub coconut flour)
4 eggs
5 tbsp butter, melted
3 tsp baking powder
Dash of salt
Optional: 1 tbsp Sweetener

Whoopie Pie Pan:

1. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, eggs, butter, baking powder, salt. Add sweetener if you prefer a slight sweet bun.
2. Mix using a whisk, hand mixer or stand mixer until well incorporated (no lumps).
3. Spray your molds, or line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
4. Add mix into molds depending on how big you want your buns to be.
5. Bake at 350F for 12-15 mins until golden brown.
6. Cut in half (or use 2 pieces for one) and enjoy!

From this batch, I made 8 buns (which I cut in half for a sandwich)

Nutrition for 1 bun: 220 cal, 20g fat, 8g protein, 2.8g net carbs

  2. I made them today, 2 versions. The first one regular, just added unflavored protein powder and nutritional yeast ( I add that in all keto breads for more "bread-like" taste and hitting my protein goal). Turned out great. For the second version I added minced garlic with the butter, Italian herbs and fresh parmesan on baking sheet. Mhmmmm that smell….Sliced it with a pizza cutter and now you have savory garlic bread sticks! Enjoy like that or dip it in your favorite sauce.Yummy….Love your recipes! Keep it up.

  3. I HAVE to try this recipe!!! Did you use super fine almond flour? You can also use a muffin top pan. That’s what I use for a lot of baked goods…cookies…biscuits…breads, etc. I like the muffin top pan because the dough only spreads out so far. 💕

  4. Are all the FIVE tbsp of butter needed? Can I reduce it to say, 2, and replace the equivalent with water? I'm always worried about how all this grease going into my arteries is going to lead to heart problems in the future. I've seen recipes for almond flour bread where they use warm water and just 1 tablespoon of oil. Just one wondering if your recipe would still work if we reduce the butter, but got the same amount of liquid in water.
