I’ve been making these almond buns for years and I’m so excited to finally be able to share a step by step with you!
These buns are a replacement for bread or sandwich thins and you can have them in so many different ways. I’m showing you a sandwich today!
Almond Buns Recipe:
1 1/2 cups almond flour (cannot sub coconut flour)
4 eggs
5 tbsp butter, melted
3 tsp baking powder
Dash of salt
Optional: 1 tbsp Sweetener
Whoopie Pie Pan:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine almond flour, eggs, butter, baking powder, salt. Add sweetener if you prefer a slight sweet bun.
2. Mix using a whisk, hand mixer or stand mixer until well incorporated (no lumps).
3. Spray your molds, or line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
4. Add mix into molds depending on how big you want your buns to be.
5. Bake at 350F for 12-15 mins until golden brown.
6. Cut in half (or use 2 pieces for one) and enjoy!
From this batch, I made 8 buns (which I cut in half for a sandwich)
Nutrition for 1 bun: 220 cal, 20g fat, 8g protein, 2.8g net carbs

I made the bread today with tuna salad for me and my husband. Omg! It’s delicious! We both have lost 50 lbs on keto and we had not found a recipe for bread we liked. But yours is amazing! Just made these…OMG YUMMY…had one with 2 slices of Deli breast of turkey and mayo…game changer!!! Not sweet and extremely light.
They kind of look like pancakes; wonder if they are more of a pancake texture than bread.
I made them today, 2 versions. The first one regular, just added unflavored protein powder and nutritional yeast ( I add that in all keto breads for more "bread-like" taste and hitting my protein goal). Turned out great. For the second version I added minced garlic with the butter, Italian herbs and fresh parmesan on baking sheet. Mhmmmm that smell….Sliced it with a pizza cutter and now you have savory garlic bread sticks! Enjoy like that or dip it in your favorite sauce.Yummy….Love your recipes! Keep it up.
How do you save the rest so it doesn’t go bad so fast?
I love your video.. unfortunately mines didn’t turn out like yours and I followed the ingredients. I don’t recommend mixing by hand. Mines looked like corn bread. 🥲

Thanks for the recipe, made them tonight , but i find there is a bitter after taste , followed all the ingredients and instructions.. any help or advice would be appreciated..
My batter came out very thick and only enough for one batch in silicone mold. Waiting for them to cook. I’m assuming that one will be 5 or 6 g of carbs. Any suggestions

I HAVE to try this recipe!!! Did you use super fine almond flour? You can also use a muffin top pan. That’s what I use for a lot of baked goods…cookies…biscuits…breads, etc. I like the muffin top pan because the dough only spreads out so far. 💕
FYI silicone does not stick so you don’t have to spray them or grease them or oiled them

I wish someone would introduce North America to grams. How am I supposed to measure butter with a tablespoon?
Are all the FIVE tbsp of butter needed? Can I reduce it to say, 2, and replace the equivalent with water? I'm always worried about how all this grease going into my arteries is going to lead to heart problems in the future. I've seen recipes for almond flour bread where they use warm water and just 1 tablespoon of oil. Just one wondering if your recipe would still work if we reduce the butter, but got the same amount of liquid in water.
