Yoshinoju or Yoshino soup is a Japanese vegetable soup, traditionally made with various ingredients such as fish, chicken and root vegetables. The soup is thicken by adding Kuzu flour but this flour has become expensive so people use potato flour instead.

How to Make Dashi:

Ingredients:
1 cup of sliced daikon
1/3 cup of sliced carrot
1/3 cup of sliced gobo
1/3 cup of sliced lotus root
4 spinach leaves
4 cups of dashi
1 tsp of light color soy sauce
1 tsp of sake
1/2 tsp of salt
1 tbsp of potato starch
1 tbsp of water
