JUCY VEGAN BABY BACK RIBS:
Chopped Parsley or Chives (¼ Cup)
RIB RUB:
@stubbsbbqsauce Barbecue Sauce (3-4 Cups)
@floraplantus Vegan Butter (¼ Cup)
Minced Garlic (¼ Cup)
Cayenne Pepper (½-1 Tsp)
(Mix together and periodically coat the vegan Ribs)
RIB MIXTURE:
@bobsredmill Gluten-Free Flour (1.5 Cups)
@mccormickspice Steak or Pork Seasoning (5 Tbs)
Nutritional Yeast (⅓ Cup)
Cumin Powder (⅓ Tbs)
Smoked Paprika (1 Tbs)
Mustard Powder (⅓ Tbs)
Red Chili Flakes (1 Tsp)
Garlic Powder (1 Tbs)
Onion Powder (1 Tbs)
(Mix together then add in:)
@edwardandsons Vegan Beef Broth (½ Cup)
Liquid Smoke (½ Tsp)
@wholefoods Vegan Worcestershire Sauce (2 Tbs)
Maple Syrup (1.5 Tbs)
@bragg Apple Cider Vinegar (1.5 Tbs)
@sprouts Sugar-Free Ketchup (2 Tbs)
(Mix together then add in:)
Chopped Jackfruit or Pulled Mushrooms (2 Cups)
@beyondmeat Vegan Beef (or cooked Lentils marinated in vegan Beef Broth and Steak seasoning) (3 Cups)
🔥 On a covered baking sheet, flatten and form the Rib Mixture into a 12×3 rectangular shape and use chopsticks or skewers to make indents. Bake at 420F for 25-40 minutes, periodically lathering on more Barbecue Sauce to both sides. Finish the Ribs off in the grill for 5-10 minutes, periodically lathering on more Barbecue Sauce to both sides, or until it’s smoked to your liking. Cut along the indents you made and serve with fresh herbs on top!

I made these today and OMG love them! We added a few more spices, we didn’t have GF flour so just used vital wheat gluten instead, and also we didn’t put it on the bbq, but it will be a regular on my menu from now on, most likely will have it for special occasions!

I made this recipe today and it's good. It does taste a little gummy but the gluten free flour i used was made with rice flour so i think this is why. Any tips?
