How To Make Turkish Ezme Salad (Vegan Food)

If you come to a Turkish restaurant you’ve probably seen this ezme salad or kind of meze serves as an appetizer. It is a hot, finely chopped tomato salad with herbs and special sauce. Very easy to make and goes extremely well with grilled meat and or fresh lavash bread.
Ingredients for Ezme Meze Salad:
2 big tomatoes
1 medium onion
2-3 mild hot or sweet green pepper
half sweet red pepper
1 clove garlic
handfull of fresh parsley, mint (optionally purple basil)
1 tbsp hot red pepper paste (It might be too hot so add it carefully or if you don’t prefer you can use sweet red pepper paste too)
about 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
about 3 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste
1 tsp dried mint

  1. I have traveled to Turkiey since 1992 for a periode of 4 -6 weeks, but I live for a year in Turkiey in 2004. And I ( by a turkish chef ) learned the dishes – AND the freshnes of the vegteables <3 I love the way you make Ecme. It's JUST LIKE I LOVE IT <3
