I've never had tofu…its never looked appetizing, but homemade just looks and probably tastes so much better. I don't even know what it tastes like either. I would definitely try this though!
This is so cool! I occasionally, very rarely eat tofu. I’m not a huge fan, but I was amazed how much tofu you’ve gotten out of that amount of soy. What do you do with the solids you initially strained out of the milk? 😊
The thing is, since when has tofu been an item in vegan and vegetarian diets from the perspective of western cultures? It has nothing to do with cheese nor is it a substitute for it and neither is soy milk for regular milk, they just happen to contain a lot of nutrients similar to each other while from different origins. Tofu is just tofu, not really needed to compare it to anything else and no need for debate or hate.
I remember eating tofu as a snack during movies bc my mom always made it for me and even as a teen i get all excited and happy when my mom makes some for all of us

Cool! Now I'm wondering if "tofu" can be made from other types of beans 🤔

Do the same thing with milk and boon you get paneer(Indian cheese)
It doesn’t even take that long! Wow!

As an Indian I just understood paneer with soyabean milk instead of normal milk

Can you put flavor into tofu? because the times I had eaten it it tasted like absolutely nothing

What happens to the original solids that are filtered out??? Can you make anything with that pulp???🤔
I had had no idea what tofu was made of, maybe that's why I never liked it. It also is very bland. Are flavors and spices ever added to tofu?
Wait… So tofu is essentially vegan cheese? Mind. Blown.
I love tofu too but i have Hashimoto..😢 any suggestions??
