  1. Back in 1967, l witnessed my Aunt get severely burned when her Pressure Cooker exploded! Yes, I’m aware of the fact that Pressure Cookers are supposed to be safer nowadays… However, I recently watched a video on YouTube about a woman who got badly burned only two years ago! It was Sunbeam “Crock-Pot Express Pressure Cooker”. Sunbeam was aware of this issue of the lids suddenly blowing off their Pressure Cookers since 2018… But, waited until November of 2020 before finally recalling them!

I love America’s Test Kitchen but there’s no way in Hades, l would use a Pressure Cooker!

  2. I dont care for using the baking soda. Otherwise, times and details are spot on and I love pot roast and chicken noodles soup along with all comfort foods in America.
I often make pot roast under pressure but marinate my chuck in mirepoix, garlic, thyme, pepper, and dry red wine for a couple days in advance. Obviously the wine is included in the braising liquid.

  3. Sorry but you might be totally off on gruyere. Culture on one side gruyere is generally made when meadows are rich in flowering plants , thus providing higher fat milk from cows . Especially in colder climates , entering spring … here in the gruyere capital of turkey/ kars , gruyere is only made in certain months of the year …
