For today’s video I will be sharing you how to make Quick , Healthy Delicious Puto Cheese.
Puto is a Filipino steamed rice cake delicacy normally eaten as snack. Puto is also, oftentimes, served to accompany savory dishes like dinuguan (pork blood stew) or pancit (rice noodle). The traditional one is made from rice, water, and sugar that is stone-grinded to make the batter or what we call galapong ,
In this Recipe I made my own quick version which is made with ready mix wheat flour , you can buy this anywhere in your local super markets. However I made it with a twist by adding healthy ingredients like greek or plain yogurt and fresh milk . yogurt and fresh milk are good for our health because they contribute essential nutrients such as protein, calcium, phosphorus, zinc and B vitamins .
Drinking milk and dairy products may prevent osteoporosis and bone fractures and even help you maintain a healthy weight.. I also prefer to use organic coco sugar which is a healthy option for a natural sweetener and it is also good for diabetic persons. However you may also use white sugar as an alternative it still depends on your preference- . This puto version is obsolutely delicious and easy to make at home , you can have it in just 15 – 20 minutes.

This is topped with quick melt cheese , but there is another options you can also top it with bacon or salted egg. it defends on your preference.. The flavor and toppings are so delicious . This goes well with a cup of brewed coffee to satisfy those cravings, this is kid friendly, and perfect for sharing. I couldn’t wait to share it with you!


400g ready mix wheat flour
2 cups water
1/2 cup coco sugar or white sugar
1 tbs olive oil or cooking oil
1/8 cup fresh milk
125g plain yogurt
150g quick melt cheese , cut into small strips
