When it comes to maintaining our ideal weight, there are some factors that actually help determine what to eat. Eating right for our body type.

Rectangle. You have this body type if you have narrow hips and a non-defined waist and your body type closely resembles a ruler.

To keep your ideal weight, even though you are the body type that doesn’t gain easily, consume healthy fats like avocadoes, fatty fishes, nuts, and seeds as well as plant sized proteins.

Make sure you stay away from junk food, fizzy drinks, pastries, and sweets because you want to stay as clean and healthy as possible. Also drink at least 8 glasses of water daily and eat every 4 hours.

Apple. If your middle body part tends to gain weight and have a round shape, you are most likely an apple shape. apple shaped body should preferably eat 5-6 little meal portions throughout the day and consume fiber rich foods like fruits, veggies, and low-fat dairy and yogurt for extra protein and ease of digestion.

And yes, some foods are not good for you when you are an apple–these are junk food and cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and brussels or cabbage which cause gases. Make sure to also limit your daily carb intake if you want to lose weight.

Pear. pear shaped body have typically a larger hips and thighs compared to their upper waist and bust section. If you have this body type, you may also experience water retention.

The ideal foods for this body type are high protein foods like meat, fish, seafood, eggs, and dairy. If you are a pear you can also consume greens and tomatoes or tomato juice to kick start your metabolism. Plus, you can incorporate some detox fruits and foods like pineapples, watermelons and cleansing teas to help flush unwanted toxins.

The foods that are not good for your shape are high-salt foods and refined carbs like white bread, pasta, and noodles.

Hourglass. If you have an hourglass figure, consider yourself lucky as this is considered the most ideal and attractive body shape. However, this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t pay attention to a few things to keep your body looking and feeling great.

One thing is that you should limit your sugar intake and opt for foods with a low glycemic index. The frequency of your meals should be around 5-6 small meals throughout the day.

Some good foods for you are fresh fruits and veggies, lean proteins e.g chicken breasts and almost anything except from refined carbs like bread, rice, pasta, pastries, and of course sweets and fizzy drinks.
