Ogbono soup recipe
wash the meat with clean water and place in a pot
add a Maggie cube, salt, onion and add water to cook
add dry fish and fresh fish
add crayfish, chili pepper and cover to cook for a few minutes
add the ground ogbono powder and stir constantly or
(in another pot, heat up red palm oil until hot; remove from heat and add ground ogbono.
Dissolve the ogbono by pressing it with the back of the cooking spoon, stirring constantly)
Leave to boil for 10 minutes. You will notice that it has become thicker and has a slimy texture ( it has started to “draw”)
Vegetables: spinach, pumpkin leaves (ugu),bitter leaves or any other vegetables of your choice then slice the vegetable
Add red palm oil and vegetable
add salt and Maggie cube then stir, let it cook for a few minutes in low heat then remove from heat
Stir well and serve hot with pounded yam,full,eba or any other swallow of your choice.
