INGREDIENTS
1 and 1/2 Lb 93% lean ground beef
1 Tbs olive oil
1 medium onion
3 cloves garlic
2 meduim red bell peppers (finely minced)
4 stalks celery (finely minced)
1 cup finely minced carrots
3 TBS freshly chopped thyme
salt and pepper to taste
3 Slices whole wheat bread
1/2 cup plus 2Tbs low fat milk
1 large egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
3 TBS freshly chopped parsley
3/4 cup Ketchup
2 TBS Molasses
3 TBS Tomato paste

  1. It was delicious. I used 2 lbs of extra lean organic ground beef, so probably should have used a bit more bread. there was so much, that it took over an hour at 375 degrees to cook through. Next time, I will divide it into two or three little roast sizes and freeze them. Thank you for the recipe. Yum
