I LOVE sharing recipes and bits of my life with you. Join me while I show you how to make some amazing plant based meals. Breakfast is an incredibly healthy and delicious smoothie bowl, for lunch I make soup and a grilled avocado sandwich that is just amazing, and for dinner one of my favourite meals yet! Miso garlic potatoes and tofu with sauteed garlic kale. I finish it all off with just the creamiest tahini dressing.

  1. Mustard (the condiments) is already fat mixed with water so I don't know if that helps it be an emulsifier. Yes Contrary to what the package label says mustard is not zero calories, it's usually 10-20 per tbsp. The us allows companies say zero if the serving size is small (less than 5 calories) I have many times seen pure v see vegetable oil (120 per tbsp) labeled as zero

  2. Do you ever grind the flaxseeds for your smoothies or just keep them whole?
    Your day was filled with such vibrant super foods!! Totally awesome! My avocado tree is coming to the end of its production but it’s already got blossoms for the next crop 🥑

  3. Thanks so much for the inspiration! I make a similar dressing like your tahini dressing, but I also add some dill. Lately I've also been adding orange chunks to my salads… I'll mash up a couple segments of orange and get that pulp & juice into the dressing too : )

  4. Nice to have a workout buddy, and, you’re right, Crystal is catching up…she has got some well-defined muscles from all her workouts, too. Derek, your physique and healthy food and habits are a real inspiration. Some great-looking meals…so colourful and full of flavour! Love your biking route, especially seeing sweet animals on the way. Finally, your cats are adorable 🥰

  5. hey. I don't know if you've ever came this issue, but what can you do if someone is teasing you for your veganism? My stepdad has no filter and says whatever he wants to–he doesn't care how it makes others feel. He likes to tease me when they're all eating meat and I'm not, or any other animal protein, it doesn't matter. I really wish I knew what I could do to make him stop!
