Soups Fried fish soup is good but messy to make. Your Chinese grocery store can do the hard part for you. By My Recipes - May 10, 2023 50 28 Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter music by @imluvbyrd . source Comments comments
Er no. That's not Chinese. Nobody cooks it this way.
Why the hell would you boil a freshly fried fish!!!? It makes no sense 😅
Yeah dude us Asians are wild my aunty used too have a place like this in Thailand, cuz she had a restaurant and a small store cuz we owned a pond in like rural Thailand, so if you buy a fish from the store you can take it too her noodle restaurant and they’ll fry it for you, and then at that point they normally buy noodles anyway, smart business.
W music choice
love that bowl man
Love that you put the Ponyo theme as the background music for a fish-centric video.
That's the same market I go to!
Fun to see on YouTube. 168 has the best hot pot around, good veggie prices as well.
Love how the pinup theme is playing while making a fish soup lmao
The dogs watching lol
You'd think putting a very wet fish into a very hot oil was a bad idea, which it is, but we did it anyway, AND IT'S DELICIOUS.
Nothing wrong with some help from the store.😊
I gotta start shopping at Asian super markets 👀
Gonna search for a place that does this that is awesome
168 Asian Market is the Spot Jon!!!
168? Madison Heights?
Why not just eat it as is? Why boil?
Frog and turtle on the menu
not just chinese fish markets that might be where it started but almost everyone i see these days has a buy here cook here menu.
Omg I love 168 Asian mart. Hands down best Asian mart in the area
Omg I need to find a supermarket in NYC that does this!
You eat that in midwest summer?
I’ve never had fried fish soup (I’m Chinese). Complete jaw drop about how that works.
Ha! Ponyo theme! Ponyo always did look tasty…
As a metro detroiter myself I can say 168 is the best around
Wait I recognize the notes from the background music, isn't it the same song you hear at the end of Ponyo's movie?
I'll take your finest Meat Frog please
This specific asian mart also has good hot pot.
168 is my favorite place to shop besides H-Mart.
That's actually pretty cool
Rip those fish with 0 space to move
Okay…so let me get this straight. You take a fried fish from the market, put it in a pot with water, garlic, ginger, let boil until milky, strain, reheat with desired ingredients like other veggies, etc, and that's it? its that simple?
You would think that because they would do it there it would be fresh and healthy but you'd be wrong Where was the fish before they brought it to the store that's the real question
168 in Madison Heights? Awesome store!
My local market does this and I love it. They will also steam it if you want
Asia Mart 168!! I love that place
What does they do with the oil? Reuse it?
This sounds amazing and now I wanna try it. Thank you ❤️
Why even fry it if you’re just gonna make it soggy af anyway
not the toddler eaters in the background 💀
would an air fryer work?
OMG, fried fish soup is so so good.
Not the ponyo song
The 168 market is amazing. Recognized it immediately!
😂😂😂 love the ponyo music, great bit
This legit made my day. im having fried fish soup with white rice, vegetables, and shrimp‼️🤌🏽😍💯
Love 168 Mart. I don't know they'd fry the fish for me. Need to ask about that next time
That is amazing!
