Can almond milk be used instead of soy?
Looking forward to trying this tmrrw with the China study French Lentil Ragout.
Thanks for this recipe! I wanted a flour-free version and this was perfect. I used 2 chia eggs in place of the Neat Egg (I had a big bag of chia seeds), and it worked very well. I made it on an iron skillet. It's crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, and yet overall firm enough and doesn't break or fall apart.
Why not just use buttermilk?
Thank you I am looking for sugar free and floured recipies
okay, I am in middle of it all with my ovn heating but I am using my loaf pan. I am already done with making my buttermilk but I used real milk because I have no soy right now and I did use flax & water cause that was what I had and I m sure that was okay to do too, cause I used the flax buttermilk with whole milk before and that all was okay. You are right that it was very ease and that is what I wanted – easy because I make my faily flat breads too – so this is just another variety option – ty. ok I will finish this off and let you know …
your recipie was exactly what I was looking for – that old fashion cornbread of yester year ,,, when I make this I will let you know -ty I am so blessed to have found it so easily so fast.
Great cornbread recipe. Could I use a 1lb or 2lb loaf tin as baking dish for this recipe? Thanks in advance for your reply.
Traditional? LOL. what is happening to humanity? Do people then use Fake Eggs made of Chia seeds.
I loved your flour free vegan corn bread. You can also make your vegan egg with just 4 parts water for one part of chia seeds. Leave them soaking for 10 minutes and then pass the mix through a strainer.
If I want to use an egg would it be one?
Anyone try the same ingredient of the corn meal at bread machine? I am having ready hard time to figure out make bread for my family while considering my son who have a lot of allergy: like eggs, peanuts and wheat. If anyone can help me to make a bread in bread machine it will be amazing and wonderfully great!!!
yes please more flour free and sugar free recipes
Thank you so much for this recipe..I put half cup flour and 1 and a half cup cornmeal because I notice whenever i eat cornmeal my throat burns, and i use flaxseed since i ran out of chia..I just had a slice n i really enjoyed it..I will make it again and again and i will try it with coconut milk n use some corn next time also.
Thank you this is the only Vegan non-sweet corn bread I have found on YouTube! Happy Easter!
This is great for my for my little one who can't have grains. 👌😍
I've just made it. Thank you. It looks like it will taste okay.
I am going to try the cornbread. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!!🌷
Corn meal isn't BLE compliant, is it?
Silly question, but since I'm not a vegetarian, can I use a real egg? Will that somehow affect the protein/veggie weights? Just getting ready to start the BLE program…
instead of that egg substitute, you could also use soaked flax seeds (1TBL to 3TBL water + 1 egg) which is cheaper and does the exact same thing.
Thanks for the recipe!
Looks great! If you were using as a grain for BLE how would you suggest we count it?
