Tammy, love your apron.
I'm Dutch so we add onions and celery to our potato soup. We always make revals to thicken it it like a drop noodle. 1 egg and flour to make a sticky dough. And drop teaspoons in to the hot potato water to cook. Then add the cream and spices.
My mama makes potato soup and she also makes cirned beef and potato soup. There's onions in it and a can of corned beef. Yummy!
