My favorite base is a whole fresh diced apple, pecans or almonds,
Black pepper, jalapeno salt. Then I may add other fruits or spices.

I love all love oat meal
I am so glad to see this video. I thought my wife had lost her mind (I should never doubt this amazing woman). A couple of years ago my wife explained that since rice is a grain and oats is a grain then we should be able to do the same things with the two. Now savory is my favorite way to have oats. One is oats with butter and soy sauce and the other is oats with kimchi.
I'm a firm believer in flavorings every level of your food. The oatmeal itself should be flavored with vanilla and salt. Salt is what brings ALL the flavors together to dance with one another.
I also dont like a lot of sugar in my oatmeal, so I use bananas to add sweetness with vanilla. I never leave out the vanilla.

But do you know you can soak the oats to make them more digestible? you can do it overnight or for a couple of hours before cooking. use apple cider vinegar.
