Diabetic Man Forced to Ration His Insulin Due to Rising Cost


In 2008, Ted went to visit family and felt like he was getting sick. He called an ambulance and went to the ER only to discover he had type 1 diabetes in his mid-thirties. He shares that having diabetes is really expensive and he admits that he has had to ration his insulin due to rising costs. Jeff shares that an insulin pump would change his life, but they start at $10,000. The Doctors share that Medtronic is gifting Jeff with their MiniMed 670g insulin pump.
