Emily and I are big fans of Chinese takeout and missed it on our keto lifestyle. In this video, we show you how to make keto-friendly fried cauliflower rice and keto orange chicken using Highkey pancake mix!

To make the fried rice:
1 bag of cauliflower rice
1 small onion (diced)
1 egg
2 green onions, sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos
3 cloves garlic
1/4 teaspoon minced ginger or ginger paste
1 teaspoon seasame oil
splash of fish sauce (if desired)
2 tablespoons butter

To make the orange chicken sauce: (This makes a huge serving that you can freeze for later!)
Carb count: It depends on how much sauce you use. I only use a couple tablespoons on a serving.
The carbs in this recipe mainly come from the marmalade, which has 5 carbs per tablespoon, but again, its a HUGE serving of sauce. So I estimate the sauce to be 3 carbs per serving. The HighKey Pancake mix has 2 net carbs per serving!

⅔ cup Smuckers Sugar Free Orange Marmalade:
1-2 tablespoons Chili Garlic Sauce: (use 1 if you want it less spicy!)
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos
1 ½ cup chicken broth
½ teaspoon Xanthan Gum-
½ teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

Highkey pancake mix (use THEKETOTWINS for 10% off sitewide) –

  1. If you are concerned about carb count in the Orange Marmalade, consider that you are not even using a serving and that the recipe makes CUPS of sauce that you can save for later and you are only using a couple tablespoons of it! Everything in moderation! -Em

  2. Love your content. I’m getting a little discouraged but I’m going to keep trucking. Question: did you eat the same thing when you were losing or did you keep changing up your menu? I’m at a stall. Also, when you did the egg fast, how many did you eat each day? I’m so excited that y’all are the same height I am. It’s hard finding tall keto YouTubers. Lol. I’m 5”10’ and stuck at 230lbs. I had gotten down to 215lbs but gained back last year. I started at 270lbs.

  3. You know, I get that the Keto diet is restrictive as all hell, but honestly, I'm so over people calling something it isn't. Cauliflower rice is crumbled cauliflower. It's not rice. It will never be rice, and calling it that doesn't make it taste any more like rice than making garlic taste like chocolate because of a name change. It's no offense to you guys. I love your channel, but it is just so counter-productive for the keto world to hijack food and calling things what they are supposed to be simulating when they don't even come close. Not to mention, it kills any inspiration in anyone wanting to try keto if they go in thinking they can have "rice" and "bread" and whatever else the Keto world pushes as something it's mimicking.

  4. I've been thinking cereal lately and have made the "cinnamon toast crunch", "cap'n crunch" and just found a "salted caramel" recipe from ruledme. All of these are done with pork rinds…I CAN SEE YOU ROLLING YOUR EYES, STOP THAT! haha Anyhow, how's about you two come up with some more pork rind cereals. If they're done right, they're fantastic. I never even mess with the suggestion for refrigerating or putting in an oven. I always just break up the rinds, pour on the melted fat, and sprinkle all the dry stuff (including a dash of salt cause salt makes everything better) and then a splash of heavy cream. When I do it this way I can get just the right amount of flavor that I like. Let's see what you can come up with…maybe "fruit loops" (hint…unsweetened kool-aid mixes? idk) or some other iconic cereals? You are so fun to watch and your sarcasm just about has me ROTF. 😂
