Can a vegan diet reduce the symptoms of Type 2 diabetes? Can a plant-based lifestyle reverse the disease? Hey anyone, I have severe diabetes, no medical benefits, blood pressure thru the roof, blood sugar thru the roof. I try to eat vegetables, within seconds I feel sleepy and super tired. Does this way of eating really work? I have to do something, my body is taking alot of damage.

Iβm not convinced that we have to give up lean meats. Being vegan 90% is great, but salmon and chicken breast are almost fat free and have excellent protein. Ok, salmon has fat but itβs a healthy fat. People have thrived on salmon since the beginning of time. The idea of all vegan or all carnivore I believe doesnβt work. Limiting animal products is good, but the all or nothing ways is something I donβt believe in.
If I have diabetes type two and I add or take fiber tablets supplements before my meals will that help to lower the carbs in that meal?

Carbs and sugar are to blame. Before the 1970's obesity was very low in America. Average man weighed around 160 and average woman around 140. They ate diets that revolved around animal products eggs,meat, milk,butter,pig lard. But now with the introduction of refined sugars and carbs everyone bloated up and thus started the diabetes pandemic. The fact that people think meat and animal fats cause diabetes and health problems is hilarious the studies are not even solid. Or take into consideration that a large chunk of Americans meat consumption comes from meat dripping with vegetable oil and full of toxins, preservatives, etc.
I reversed my diabetes with the keto diet and intermittent fasting and fixed my blood pressure I no longer take any drugs
Two months ago I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and then I got Gerd, I decided to just eat vegetarian foods and my cholesterol went down after two months

I love hearing this. I've been eating low carb for 2-3 months and am so sick of greasy foods in my stomach. I'm ready to eat vegan which isn't new to me.
I reversed my type 2 over the course of a year. Not vegan but low carb. I eat plenty of meat but no bread, rice, potatoes or starchy vegetables. My A1C dropped from 8s to 5.3. Vegan is fine but by all means not the only way.
Carbs and Sugar cause diabetes. That is the Vegan diet so to put it bluntly NO
