Sacrilege! Gravy and custard should be as thick or thin as you want and I like it thick! (Lumps are mandatory for me, also)

I made your other gravy recipe recently.(I think it was a Christmas video.) It was DELICIOUS!! I even put the leftover vegetables on top of some rice and devoured them & they still had flavor. Awesome. I will definitely make it again.

I made your last gravy recipe or long ago it was hands down the best one ever, used the left out veg from the gravy in a vegan steak and veg pie so no waste and it added great flavour. Thanks for all your awesome recipes Gaz 👌
If you can't get decent fresh shrooms, can dried shiitakes work instead?
I get that you are trying to hit different with your thumbnails and try to show people that vegan food can also look like normal food. But all it does is make me want to eat a nice piece of meat with gravy and potatoes.
Like I scroll through my videos, see yours, want to press it for a split second, but then realize it's vegan. Then I get sad. And then I crave the normal dish.
Saying this as someone who used to be vegan and vegetarian. Because I know first hand that sure, vegan food can look exactly like meat, but it sure as hell doesn't taste like it. So I get this good taste in my mouth seeing the picture, and then a second later I get a vegan taste in my mouth. And it doesn't do anything to bring me back to being vegan sad to say.
I think I will not find Marmite here in Germany. Is there anything similar to use?

Also, wanted to ask about the wine, do you use vegan vine? Regularly wine contains egg white , for some strange reason, and it's quite difficult to find a vegan one.

I’m a beginner vegan and it’s hard
You have the same sauce jug as my grandma. She would add a few (a ton of) cooked button mushrooms and kettle onions (not sure of the names, the small cute ones). So kids could compete to get more shrooms less onions… Probably we were just having that as a meal, the sauce, the mushrooms, soaked with bread, we'd disappear… then we'd come back for the desserts.

What could I use instead of coffee? I'm really sensitive to caffeine, and buying a whole pack of decaf seems like a waste if I only need 80 ml.
My idea would be Dutch cocoa and a pinch of smoked salt, any better ideas?
Hmmm.. I made gravy once and used a stock cube, soy sauce and flour slurry. I feel ashamed of my gravy skills 😀
