About Dr.V Mohan

Dr. V. Mohan is an internationally acclaimed Diabetologist with vast experience of over 40 years. He is the founder of the ‘Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialities Centre’ chain that boasts of over 50 diabetes clinics across India. He is also the President and Director at Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MRDF).

After his postgraduate medical education from Madras Medical College, Chennai, Dr.Mohan practiced his research work abroad and has published over 1,460 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. V. Mohan has received over 180 awards, including Padma Shri, the B. C. Roy National Award by the Medical Council of India, and the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Centenary Award.   1. OK. So? Oats which convert to sugar within about 15 minutes and spike your insulin and glucose are good for breakfast? I reversed my type 2 diabetes and would never, ever, eat oats. Watch Fat Fiction to get more accurate information on diabetes and nutrition.

  2. Thank you Dr for clarifying the difference between the oats. However, I have a question for you, my husband eats steel cut oats every morning with blue berries for breakfast. He is diabetic and high blood pressure also had a stroke and since kidney damages. All are in control but should he continue to eat oats every day since it’s high in potassium and phosphorus? I’m concerned since his total daily potassium is 200mg and phosphorus should be under 4.5mg. Thanks
