  1. hummus? I eat hummus and my sugar spikes and fruits seriously? fruits are packed with sugars apples, nectarines, peanut butter is loaded with sugars and carbs and one of the worse things you can eat is any type of corn as a diabetic type 2 everything you mentioned with the exception of almonds spikes my sugar within seconds so what kind of death doctor are you again?

  2. 1.NUTS,low salt, no salt, raw almonds. 2.Humus.3 cheddar cheese. 4. Low carb veggies peanut butter. 5.Popcorn handful. 6.tuna fish salad yogurt keep in cool container. 7. make own protein bars, less than total carbohydrates =5. 9-16-2021.๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’“ Heart healthy.

  3. Raw nuts, my home made hummus (using my home made tahini) and organic peanut butter (with peanuts as the only ingredient!) are my favorites on this list. With the peanut butter, I normally just like to eat about two heaping tablespoons straight. I have to admit I am a little naughty with the hummus, as I like to take two whole wheat pitas, cut them into chips shape and bake them a few minutes until crisp for dipping. better than all the ingredients in ready made chips, though. One thing, I like to top my hummus with some paprika, sumac, cumin pine nuts and high quality extra virgin olive oil. This leads me to ask if you can do an in-depth video about spices and blood sugar/health. Which would you say are the top ten spices to use, for example, either as a topping, cooking, etc? I know chili powder has been studied and shown to lower blood sugar. Thanks for your efforts and take care.

  4. Thank you! Homemade hummus and veggie sticks are my staple and easy to prepare. I also enjoy pecans and plain greek yogurt as a dip or a spread. The nice thing about small portions of hummus, greek yogurt and veggie stix is that they are easy to find now, even at smaller grocers. Thanks to you, I keep small 1/3 cups of prepared fruits handy to mix with veggie stix. A pinch of salt and lime keep sliced apples and pears fresh and bright for 2 to 3 days. All great ideas. Thanks!
