Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases that cause high blood sugar levels. This may happen due to inadequate production of insulin by the pancreas or when the cells of the body do not respond to the insulin produced. Type-1 diabetes is a situation where one’s body is unable to produce insulin. It usually develops in childhood or adolescence, but it may occur at any age. The other is a condition in which the cells in the body fail to respond to the insulin produced. This is called type-2 diabetes and about 90% of all cases of diabetes worldwide are of this type.

Fenugreek seeds are high in soluble fibre, which helps lower blood sugar by slowing down digestion and absorption of carbohydrates. This suggests they may be effective in treating people with diabetes.
Fenugreek seeds are a rich source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which help protect the body’s cells from damage caused by unstable molecules known as free radicals.
Soak 2-3 tbsp of fenugreek seeds in a glass of water for overnight and next day early in the morning drink the remaining water, then eat soaked fenugreek seeds.

Chickpeas are good sources of fiber, iron, phosphorus, zinc, potassium, magnesium, folate, thiamine, riboflavin and vitamin B-6. These beans are made up of about 27 percent carbohydrates. A 1-cup serving of chickpeas contains 14.5 grams of protein, 4.3 grams of fat and 45 grams of carbohydrates. Although 7.9 grams of these carbohydrates are sugars, another 12.5 grams comes from dietary fiber, which helps limit the effect of chickpeas on blood sugar levels.
Green gram, also known as mung bean, Like other beans, the mung bean is a rich source of low-fat protein. One cup of mature, boiled beans contains 14g of protein, 15g of fiber. It contains both insoluble and water-soluble fiber, which together yield varied benefits. Green gram dal is considered low-glycemic. It digests slowly and gradually releases glucose into your bloodstream, stabilizing your blood sugar. Consumption of low-glycemic foods lowers your risk for developing diabetes.
Mix 2 tbsp of chickpeas and green gram in a bowl and soak them in a glass of water for overnight. Next day in the morning strain the water and eat the soaked beans after consuming fenugreek water
